Ministry Team Functions and Descriptions

Aesthetics

Decorate the worship center and other areas of the church in accordance with the season of the year. Coordinate the placing of flowers at the altar and in the foyer of the church.

Audio

Visual Coordination all of the sound, lighting and video needs for the church. Assist in operation of all related equipment for all services and church programs.

Benevolence

Administrate and carry out the church’s work in helping those who are in need, both from our membership and from those outside of our church.

Ushers, Greeters, Safety and Security

Assist in welcoming and providing information to those who are in attendance during worship services and events. Receive the offering and perform other duties during worship services and events. Assist in implementing the church’s security plan during service times.

History

Record and preserve pictures and other media to serve as a record for the church family. Lead in recognizing anniversaries and other important dates in the life of the church.

Media Center (Library)

Administrate the use of the church library as a resource for Christian growth.

Men’s Ministry

Offer events / programming designed specifically for outreach, fellowship, and discipleship of men.

Rebecca Ministry

Coordinate procedures for providing ministry to families from our church that lost loved ones.

Recreation

Coordinate athletic or other recreational events / leagues that will serve as an outreach and fellowship opportunity for those who enjoy sports, games, and similar activities

Senior Adults

Offer events and programming designed specifically for outreach, fellowship, education and discipleship of senior adults. Assist in ministering to those who may be unable to leave their homes and attend church.

Medical Response

Stands ready to respond to those in attendance during services and events who demonstrate a need for medical attention. Members of this team should have a background in emergency medical care and be willing to undergo training.

Prayer

Lead in providing opportunities for participation in intentional intercessory and corporate prayer. Lead in providing training and educational opportunities on the subject of prayer.

Women’s Ministry

Offer events and programming designed specifically for outreach, fellowship, and discipleship of women.
