How to Join Harpeth Heights

1. Profession of Faith and Baptism.

• You ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and to be the Lord of your life. You follow the Lord in believers’ baptism by immersion.

2. Transfer of Letter from a “Like-Minded” Church.

• If you are a member of a “like-minded” church and God is leading you to join our fellowship, our church will send a letter to your previous church so that they may remove you from their roll and we can add you to ours.
• A “Like-Minded” church is defined as a church that holds to the following:
  • The Lordship of Jesus Christ.
  • Salvation in Christ alone, by grace alone through faith alone.
  • The Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (One God manifest in three persons.)
  • Baptism by immersion only; after salvation only; as a symbol of salvation only.

3. Statement

This method is the very same as the “transfer of letter” except that the letter from the previous church can not be obtained. You are accepted upon your testimony as outlined in the “transfer of letter.”

4. Believers’ Baptism by Immersion

This method applies to those who have been saved and never baptized and to those who were baptized in another church that practices baptism in another method or under different doctrine.
